The goals for the Kids4Christ activities are:

1. Develop friendship among class members through social and service activities.
2. Develop a desire to invite their friends to class and activities.
3. Develop the desire to help others through service activites.

We try to attain these goals through the following activities:

Activities for 5th grade and younger:

1. Family Movie Night – This is a time that families can share in a family movie
and invite their friends and families to share in fellowship. The movies shown
    will be rated G.

2. Spring Celebration, Family Retreat, and Fall Festival – These activities are a
time to invite your friends to share in games and fellowship.

Activities for K-1st grade:

1. Valentine’s Party – They will make valentines to send to Extra Special People
and play games. This is a time for students to invite their friends.

Activities for K-5th grade:

1. Bonus Awards Dinners – Dinners for all students and their families to celebrate
the student’s accomplishments for bringing Bible, attending class, bringing cans
of food, reading the Bible, and prayer. In the spring the event will include Age 4
and will be a Parent’s program.

2. Timothy’s Raging Readers – Summer program to read books out of the West End library.
At the end of the summer those reaching their goals will receive awards and have a celebration party.

3. Keep On Lovin’ Club – This is a club to encourage the children to participate in service activities.
We have 2 “types” of service activities that are part of our club. The first is Kids 4 Christ activities
and the second is family activities. Each student who wishes to become a member of the Kep on Lovin'
Club will need to do at least 5 Kids4Christ activities and 3 family activities. The balance of necessary
points can come from wither category of activities. The list of scheduled activites is available from
Evelyn or Mike Sain and each activity counts as 1 love point. Some suggested family activities would be
library work day, sit w/Extra Special Person during worship, and other activities designated by parents.
We would like the family activities to be 3 different experiences so they can try different things.
Attendance cards for the boys will count as 1 love point. 2nd and 3rd graders will need 9 points and
4th and 5th graders will need 11 love points to become members of the Keep on Lovin’ Club. All
members of the club qualify to participate in a lock-in in the spring after the Hall of Fame Dinner.

4. Attendance Cards – The elders have asked us to assign boys to pick-up attendance cards at each service.
If you have a son, you will receive a schedule on a quarterly basis.

5. Christmas Presents for Needy Children – The children will work extra jobs or use their allowance money to
contribute to a fund to raise funds for Christmas gifts for needy children. Parents may donate also.
We will take the children to buy the presents and wrap them in November.

6. Bible Bowl – Kevin Giles will be coordinating the Bible Bowl program. He will be teaching the children
December-March to help them get ready for the Bible Bowl. Even if the children choose not to participate
in the Bible Bowl, they will learn a lot about the Bible.

7. Cans for Potter’s Children’s Home – The children receive cans to put loose change in the spring. Cans are
now due, please return them with their name on the can. They can receive a Kids4Christ love point when
they are returned. These funds will assist Potter’s Children’s Home.

8. Transportation – Due to changes in Tennessee law all children under age 9 must provide a booster seat to be
used during transportation on all West End activities unless transported by a parent in a parent’s vehicle.

Activities for 4th and 5th grade:

1. Fall Retreat – The annual fall retreat takes place at Hillbrook Camp in Karns. This is a time
for the children to invite their friends for a time of fellowship and games.
